In January of 2019, after twenty-eight years designing creative interiors from a convenient location in Downtown St. Catharines, Lex Parker and his design team were excited to move into new offices.
The new location on the upper level of the Elmwood Design Centre in St Catharines allowed an opportunity for a new design studio experience. The high ceilings and open trusswork give an openness to the space. Three skylights send shafts of light into the interior. It was a great
opportunity to replan the office for workstations, a private office and a more efficient storage of interior design files and samples.

The existing finishes were tired and worn. The complete interior was painted in Toque White
from Sherwin Williams, with cheerful golden yellow accent walls. New modular carpet from
Interface added a fresh look in off white, orange and dark grey. A new partition wall was
designed that included a built-in custom bench upholstered in Maharam fabric and with LED
lighting. A glass panel with a logo graphic was included in the partition to allow light to
illuminate the entrance. The Lex Parker Design logo was also applied to the door and sidelight
of the principal designer’s office to add interest and increase privacy. A custom designed
graphic mural painted on the wall behind the reception desk enhances the patterns of the
ceiling trusses reflected on the wall from the skylight.
Lex Parker Design is pleased to invite you to visit our offices. We would be pleased to introduce
our design team, give you a tour, show examples of our work and discuss any plans you may
have. The coffee is on!
